Kelibia is on the northeast coast of Tunisia on the peninsula of Cap Bon.

The town center has principally white buildings in both the old and new parts of the city, which gives it a picturesque almost biblical air.

The beach is long and clean, the water is clear.

The town was certainly in existence as long ago as 309 BC.

Kalibia’s main attraction is the fort, lying north of the town, visible from wherever you are. Originally built by the Byzantines, it was enlarged and strengthened under the Hafsid dynasty. The thick fortress walls have been excellently preserved. The hill rises 150 above sea level, the sea is right below.
