BENEFIT
In recent years the Tunisian Government has made a concentrated effort to encourage foreign filmmakers to come to Tunisia.
- TIS is registered in a special development area so the company does not pay income tax and the social charges for technicians are also exempted.
- For foreign production the VAT is exempted for almost all production charges (not exempted for hotel and airline tickets).
- If the project has some image interest for Tunisia, the production can have a subvention up to 80% of cost for transport and hotel covered by the ministry of tourism.
- In general comparing with Morocco, Tunisia has a price average of 40% lower.
